The Japan Coast Guard patrol ship Yashima, carrying 59 crew members, led by Coast Guard Superintendent Akihiro Hirano, arrived at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port on Sunday to begin an official visit to the city from 10 – 15 May.

This is the 3rd time that Japan Coast Guard ships have visited Viet Nam, and the visit aims to strengthen the solidarity between the two countries.  In addition, it offers the opportunity for their coast guard forces to increase mutual exchanges to further deepen mutual understanding and cooperation in ensuring security and safety at sea.
